Vision

Vision of the Rural Humanity Services Foundation is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the rural farmer with the aim of uplifting the social and economic status of rural communities. 

 

Mission

The mission of the Rural Humanity Services Foundation is to develop appropriate projects with the coordination of government, non-government and private sector institutions, in order to,
 

  • disseminate agriculture technology, knowledge and experiences to rural communities

  • develop infrastructures to facilitate production targets for local markets as well as for exports

  • popularize farming as an acceptable and dignified profession to attract the young and to provide significant contribution to achieve higher standard of living

  • collectively contribute significantly to the Gross National Product of the country


 

Objectives

The objectives are,
 

  • Contribute towards improvement of living standard of the rural community    

 

  • Development of the rural agriculture through education introducing modern technology and through attracting youth towards agriculture.  

 

  • Create scholarship programs to assist the education of the needy students.

 

  • Upgrade the infrastructure of rural schools and to develop the skills and knowledge of the rural students

  • Carry out programs & activities to support Sri Lankan’s agriculture development

Scholarships, Computer building, library, Name boards and school bags, exercise books etc.

5 year scholarships for 50 students (Names, school, year, scholarship donors etc.)



Govi Upahara


Offering respect to the 30 farmers being with us for past 10 years with CIC out grower system of paddy selected from rural community areas were awarded by admiring the courage and service to the nation on the Govi Upahara stage at Dehiaththakandiya on 26.11.2008.

 

Danuma Danaya program


Conduct the series of seminars for provide a educational support to school children in a rural   area such as Higurakkgoda,Manampitiya,Dehiattekandiya,Thabuttegama with the participation of the famous lecturers Dr.Aththanayake M Herath, Mr.Rohana Beddage , and Mr.Wasantha Dukkgannarala etc.




Nawa Goviya web site


Nawa Goviya Project funded by ICTA is developing the web site accruing the Modern Agriculture knowledge development and initiative aimed at developing new breed of young farmers, who would be motivated to take farming as sustainable business venture. Content of curriculum creates in video, animations, graphics and text with Sinhala and Tamil languages provided by the professionals in the Agriculture industry. Introducing though Nenasala Tele centers to the rural community will be implemented by series of workshops and seminars.
