To acknowledge the service rendered by the Sri Lankan Farmer to the national economy.
Objectives
To provide due recognition of the Sri Lankan farmer
To encourage farmer with positive thinking and attitudes about self
To transform the minds of public into a positive perception about the Sri Lankan farmer
Target Group
Both the Sri Lankan farmer and the public in general
Methodology
The primary methods for achieving the goal and objectives of this project are:
Production of novel concepts annually in a form of a exclusively dedicated song (Farmer’s song has already been launched), a short tele-drama etc
Publicity through print and electronic media
Frequent telecasts and broadcasts
Use as paramagnet features at all agricultural events be it district, provincial or national
Outputs and monitoring indicators:
Once a year dedication
Evidence of use in district, provincial and national agricultural events
Public display via broadcast or telecasts and other suitable mediums
